ABOUT US:

      Paul Jarvis, President and Owner

Biography:

Paul grew up in Boulder Colorado, graduated from Boulder High, and received his Bachelor of Music with honors in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Colorado. He then proceeded to earn his Master of Music degree in Piano from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he also received training in piano technology. The next few years he spent teaching piano and working for Schmitt Music, the Minnesota Steinway dealer, in their rebuilding department.  The next 14 years were spent selling Steinway and Kawai pianos for Schmitt Music followed by a return to Colorado and 12 years at Wells Music selling Steinway and Yamaha pianos. He also taught a course in Piano Technology at Arapahoe Community College.

The next two years he managed Baker’s Piano Center, and when Baker’s decided to close the Boulder store, he decided to continue with his own store in the same location. With the help of family and friends, he strives to make Boulder Piano Gallery a hub of musical activity in Boulder County and the premier place to purchase a fine quality new or used piano.

Thrilled to be working in his home town of Boulder, Paul says he considers making music to be at the core of our human experience, and enjoys nothing more than connecting people to the piano of their dreams.
